A prototype built at CIID using the Arduino platform. Our assignment was to build “something that expresses an emotion”. Anders Højmose and I used a Ultrasound sensor to create Tim.1D – an extremely shy little robot. Try to get his attention and he bashfully turns away…

Now, if I can just get the death ray integration working…

As part of our skills upgrade at CIID, we explored the potential of Flash as a quick user interface prototyping tool. Asked to design a touch point for the upcoming Copenhagen Bike Share Competition, which aims at refurbishing the iconic copenhagen bike share system, I designed a simple touch screen interface aimed at integration into bus stops and other transport hubs.

The concept opens up questions specifically aimed at the bike share program as a city branding exercise as well as questions of practicality and integration with everyday commuters and the larger public transportation system in general.

Vipp celebrated its 70th anniversary by hosting a charity auction in New York City, auctioning off a number of their iconic trash bins. Each bin was customized by a different design or cultural luminary, including the likes of Yoko Ono, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Helena Christensen, John Baldessari, Oscar de la Renta, Kid Robot and Yves Béhar. Jonas Hecksher from e-Types designed one as well, featuring a short text of mine written for the occasion.
